One of the best ways to get an issue talked about or a product showcased is via talking in person. We offer one of two ways you can come into our show and in person discuss the issues or subject. First is via live streaming, and the other is via recorded interview. Each have their pros and cons. If you want to watch the video below we explain things a bit better, and what you can expect when coming on the show. We also talk briefly about equipment you should have, and also tips to make your interview the best it can be.
Live streaming is where you come onto our show and we are live on camera, the audience is live and can comment and ask questions via a chat box window that we and you will be able to see. This is a massive positive when you want to get your point across or your product discussed. Also, it allows a more spontanious way to engage others. When live watchers of the show ask questions, you can answer them and it is more like a town hall kind of feel. Plus this live streaming style of show lets your viewers get a better feel as to who you really are.
Recorded sessions allow a more controlled way to talk, and get the issues or product discussed. Breaks can be taken and if something is said that was a slip up it allows us to correct it, whereas in live once it is said it is out there. The bad part of doing a recorded interview or video is that your viewers cannot interact with you. If you are trying to showcase a product or service, or if you are trying to tell your story. A pre-recorded interview does not let you sometimes answer some kinds of questions, that although may not be expected, can be ones that actually help you to get your message across.
When we have a guest on the show we want the guest comfortable. However we also are there to cover the issue or the product at hand. So, we are happy to be provided with a list of topics or subjects that you are not comfortable talking about. However, if that list is so large that it will inhibit our ability to talk about the issue at hand, then it could effect our willingness to do the interview. We also have found that sometimes even if the subject is a difficult one or one that is sensitive. Discussing it openly can help. When you refuse to talk about something, then you allow only one version of the issue or issues to be seen, and that is your detractors version. Being open and willing to tackle the subject at hand, allows you to get your voice, your reasons out there. We always tell guests when it comes to topics that are sensitive, why let the truth be hidden.
We also are always interested in you providing us with a list of topics you want to talk about. If you know ahead of time
what you are comfortable and not comfortable talking about, it allows us to plan the show better. Now one thing to be
We are not here for gotcha moments. We are here to talk to you about the topics at hand. We do not engage in harassing or ambush style journalism. If you tell us anything is okay to talk about, then that means anything. If you say I do not want to talk about "X" or "Y" then X and Y will not be talked about. We think that what makes a good show is for you and us to be able to have a good interview, and for us both to know what is okay and not okay to talk about.
There is one important thing to also keep in mind with live interviews. When we are talking live, and you have let us know before hand there are things you do not want us to bring up, we will respect that. However within chat watcher of the show may ask a question that brings up the topic you said you wanted to avoid. That then will be up to you to simply say, you would rather not talk about it. Then we can move on.
All of our interviews at this point are done via video meeting software, so you can do the interview from the comfort of your own home or office. We will have you log into a one way secure link about 15 minutes before the show to make sure your video and audio are working fine. We also can meet before hand and prefer do in fact so that, to discuss the interview and get a bit more comfortable.
We do not remove or delete interviews or shows online unless there is legitimate reason to do so. This could be via court order, or it could be some issues within the interview was deemed a legal issue etc. However at the end of the show within a few days we will send you as the guest, and any co-guests that may come on with you a DropBox link and within that will be your recorded show. So you can have a hard copy for your files.
